You should really think about joining us...by using the button on the right... and here are some reasons why:
1 It’s free.
Yup. No charge. No fee. Nada. You get loads of stuff to do, use, read and share, and there’s no cost. And if you want, you can buy even more stuff from the shop. But before you do, get clicking. This is the only free lunch you may have ever had. Yes, we know. We’re clearly barking.
2 It’s busting with info, links and tools.
Case studies, tools, links, contacts, ideas, library, events calendar, member messaging, directories, kit – the lot. We’ve packed it lin ike a sardine tin. But hopefully it looks better, is significantly easier to move around in, and doesn’t smell like fish.
3 You get not to be alone.
It’s the fastest growing network of its kind in the UK. We get new members every week; and they’re from all over, with all sorts of backgrounds, all sorts of questions, and all sorts of expertise. Join in. You’re in good company.
4 You get to innovate.
For whatever reason, people who become CoaST members tend to be what are known as “open innovators” (they operate, as a default, with incredibly open minds and are super receptive to new ideas, which they fold continually into their business practice, so improving what they do with every move). And they like to share stuff with others, are BIG on networking, and to encourage those they work with to do the same – they create a culture of sharing, amongst their staff, their colleagues, and their networks. So you’re in essentially working in a big bowl of innovation soup. Think Obelix and the cauldron of magic potion. It changes the way you do stuff.
5 You get to deviate.
You’re probably here on this page because you’re moving towards a different way of thinking; want to change the way you buy your supplies, from energy to loaves of bread; change how you engage with your staff; or change how you talk to your visitors. You might just want to be different from the guys next door. So you’re already highly likely to be what we call here a Positive Deviant. Someone who does something differently because they know there’s a better way. Well, you’re in a good place. There’s about 1,200 of us here already; welcome home.
quote of the day
" We all need space; unless we have it we cannot reach that sense of quiet in which whispers of better things come to us gently… "
Octavia Hill

we are a social enterprise
Social enterprises trade just like other businesses; but plough their profit back into activities that benefit people and planet, rather than just lining shareholders' pockets. Wouldn't it be better if your local authority thought like this when buying local services? You could try asking them...Be Positive. Be Deviant.
