food and drink
This is one of the few things that we can say everyone needs to do, and if we're lucky, we get to do it several times a day. Which means that by doing it right, you can very very quickly make a very very big impact. Think of it this way - one week equals seven breakfasts, seven lunches, seven tea-times (we're speaking modified Lancashire, here ). So that can be twenty one mass-produced, over-processed, over-transported, over-packaged, under-nourished meals; or twenty one good for your belly, good for your mind, and good for your land, alternatives, with the money going to local farmers and people you know, less packaging going into our landfill or incinerators (eek), and if you make it with mates, a whole heap of the good stuff (have a quick peek at our bit on "com-pane". Sort of makes sense.) Even if you had one meal every week that was good, proper, local food, that adds up to 52 a year. Each. See where we're going with this?

spare food is share food!
Putting fresh milk where it belongs. This is one of those efforts by a small group of determined people that is turning something toe-curlingly wasteful into a thing for good. Sows ears into silk purses. We like things like that.

chefs' charter
We believe that good food, good company and happy times go hand in hand with really considerate use of the energy, water, waste and people that go into making them. We’re doing our bit – and then we’ll do even more!
